Frequently Asked Questions
Does your disinfectant kill the Corona Virus?
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is still novel, we are continually checking on the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) website for up-to-date solutions and utilize CDC approved and EPA registered disinfectants.
The disinfectant we are using is a hospital-grade disinfectant that is EPA registered and has been approved by the EPA for use againgst the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19). The disinfectant meets the EPA emerging pathogen requirements for viruses showing effecacy against envelop and non-envelop viruses both large and small.
Coronavirus can survive on surfaces for up to 17 days and people infected by the virus don’t show symptoms until approximately two weeks after infection, making it difficult to track and contain. This is why having a trusted professional disease and biohazard remediation company on your side is so important.
How much does your service cost?
Each decontamination project is different and priced accordingly. We start with a phone call in order to gain a broad understanding of the problems you face and the goals that you’re looking to accomplish.
For less complex jobs where our telephone conversation has identified all of the pertinent factors, we may be able to issue a quotation after an initial phone call.
In some instances, we may request a site visit where it’s practical before issuing a quotation in order to gain a complete understanding of a client’s needs.
In emergency situations, or in situations where a site visit is not practical, we can provide services based upon a time & materials agreement, or on a fixed price basis with a plus/minus % price variance.
We offer preventative or scheduled service plans that provide discounted rates and peace of mind
Are you a Cleaning service?
Sanochoice staff is trained to respond to the disinfecting needs in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside your standard cleaning protocols, we perform enhanced cleaning (extra cleaning targeted at frequently touched, frequently contaminated surfaces. Touch points such as entrance handles, handrails, elevator buttons, tables and restroom stall handles/doors are sanitized as part of our disinfection service that we perform at all locations. That said, surfaces must be visually clean prior to us treating the area.
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment time varies based upon the size of your facility, the site preparations required, the condition of the space, and the contamination or disease that we are treating, or looking to prevent. In some situations, we work during your off hours. Our advanced equipment technologies allow us to get in and out of your facility as quickly as possible with minimal disruption to your schedule. The process takes about 60 minutes for a 2000sq ft.
How soon can I reenter a treated area?
You will need to be prepared to be out of the indoor treatment area. This includes taking pets, especially birds, out of the area. Also, make sure that all items of concern (paper, stored items, etc.) are put away prior to the fogging commencing. The agency OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Association) requires our technicians to wear respirators while spraying disinfectant. For this reason, you must be out of the area during the treatment process for at least two hours after the process is completed.
What do I need to do after the technician leaves?
Nothing. The process is now complete. Just let everything dry on its own, as the oxidation process takes place. Initially, it takes just a few minutes to dry. The only exception is if there is any residue left on glass, mirrors, countertops, or other areas. In that case, after 24 hours, just wipe off the excess with a microfiber cloth.
